1994, Mohammad Nadjikh Established the First Factory of Dried Seafood Processing in the Village of Sobontoro, Tuban for the Japanese Export market under the name of PT Kelola Mina Laut. and Expanding more than 30 Processing Unit along the north Coast of Java. 1999, KML Seafood develops their business into Frozen Fish and Cephalopods for the Export Market in Gresik and follows other factories in Makassar, Kendari, Luwuk and Sidoarjo.
2001, KML Seafood develops Frozen Shrimp Business (Vannamei) and Value Added Products in Gresik and partnership with local and traditional Farmers.
2003, KML Seafood develops Pasteurized Crab Meat business in Gresik and Serang. Raw Materials supplied from own Miniplants spread throughout Indonesia make it KML Seafood become the Largest Producer of Pasteurized Crab Meat in Indonesia.
2005, KML Seafood set up a variety of Value Added product processing plants in Gresik for Export markets.
2006, KML Seafood develops various Fish Ball and Fish Cake factories for Domestic market with modern technology as a pioneer in Indonesia. KML Seafood established PT Mitra Nasional Kualitas (MNK) and PT Kelola Niaga Makmur (KNM) as a distribution Company for Domestic Market.
2010, KML Seafood develops a Surimi Processing Plant (Fish meat Extract) which is the main raw material for Fish Ball and Fish Cake Products.

2014, KML Seafood has transformed into KML Food and acquired PT Mitratani Dua Tujuh Minority shares with superior products Edamame and Okra in Jember.
2015, KML Food Acquired PT Kenkyo Foods Tech Industry which is engaged in the Frozen Vegetable Business in Semarang. KML Food formed a Joint Venture with a Japanese Company establishing PT KML Ichimasa Foods in Bogor to Produces various Crab Stick. KML Food acquired the shares of PT Galih Estetika Indonesia with the production of Sweet Potatoes in Kuningan.
2016, KML Food acquired PT Maluku Prima Makmur shares in Ambon with Tuna as a main Products.
2017, KML Food develops various processed Tofu products in Semarang for the Domestic Market.
2018, KML Food established PT Kelola Mina Makmur which is engaged in Catching and Collecting Fish in FAO 718. KML Food founded the e-Commerce company Foodia.com which specializes in online selling food products. KML Food Established PT Kelola Mina International in the Trading & Cold Storage of Frozen Fishery products. KML Food also conducts a JV with Japanese Partner PT Kirana Food International in Tuban that processes Value-added fishery products with modern Technology.
2019, KML Food established PT Kelola Biotech International by conducting a JV with a Taiwanese partner who processes fishery waste products into fish meal and fish oil products with the latest Technology. KML Food acquired a majority of PT Tjandi Sewu Baru, a Plantation company in Blitar with more than 625 ha as a modern Integrated Farming.

Creating system and activity as real effort to manage directly start from the beginning where the raw material originate, manage the balance of all interest of environmental, socio-cultural aspects of the fisherman lively hood, seafood manufacture and customer, as part of the whole chain of fisheries/Seafood industry business.
Direct action is in the interest of sustainability orient aims to directly provide the necessary through an integrated business management and achieve sustainability goals started early step in the originate area of raw materials. The existence of the company at any point of the location supply of raw materials to achieve management goals with effort for good supply chain.
Doing itself all the activities and control, will also give a very strong influence in order to achieve the required total quality standards. All these activities are total organized and managed directly by the group, including the provision of integrated facilities at each of its location of raw material originate. Direct-action management will be done without giving up to on going successful fisheries management for sustainability chain itself. KML and 4 others company participate on a Fisheries Improvement Project (FIP) called Snapper-Grouper Makassar Strait.
Our Internal Laboratory is able to guarantee compliance to all customer microbiological, chemical/antibiotic, and sensory and physical requirement. Sample are taken daily from receiving and at the processing line, then tested using the most up to date equipment and testing methods compliant with current International standard. We periodically verify these standard using accredited external laboratories.
KML has taken greater control over processing and distribution channels through the traceability of ingredients and finished products in order to address concern about bioterrorism and foodborne illness outbreak. Each product is marked with a unique code to track and trace this product through the entire supply chain.
QUALITY CONTROL AND SANITATION SYSTEM
Our experienced and highly trained quality control team works to guarantee the quality demand by our valuable customers. Consistent checking of all products starting with receiving to the finished product is recorded, reviewed by management and cleared for export. In addition to our quality control program, all employees and management are trained and implement a strict written sanitation standard operating procedure at all KML plants location.
TRAINING FOR MANAGEMENT & EMPLOYEES
Training for sanitation, personal hygiene and food safety and security is performed regularly. Training sessions are mandatory for management and employees, and all sessions are recorded and reviewed by management to verify the effectiveness of each program.

Our research and development team strive to keep up to date on the latest food industry trend, resource and government issues, and latest processing techniques. Our goal is to constantly improve quality, efficiency and expand our value added seafood product offering.
Our seafood products are examined, inspected, audited under strict Indonesian Council of Ulama. All products has declared as Halal according to the Islamic law.
Our seafood products are processed and packaged under strict HACCP guidelines. HACCP records are maintained at our corporate headquarters in compliance with all current regulations. Ministry of Marine Affairs and Fisheries of The Republic of Indonesia certify all KML plants.

Customers demand third party audits as independent confirmation of the consistent quality and safety of our food products. KML conduct annual third party certifications of production and quality system. We hold certifications for latest ISO standard, BRC (British Retail Consortium) & BAP (Best Aquaculture Practices).
